SPECIAL TOPIC: AUTHOR/LEADER (ARCHĒGOS)

The term “author” or “leader” is the Greek term archēgos. It comes from
the Greek root “beginning” (archē) and “to go” or “to lead” (agō). This compound
came to be used of a ruler, prince, or leader (human or angelic). The term is
only used three other times in the NT:
   1.  Prince or author in Acts 3:15
   2.  prince or leader (cf. Acts 5:21)
   3.  the author (or pioneer) and perfecter of the faith in Heb. 12:2.

Jesus is the starter, the provider, and the finisher of salvation.
