SPECIAL TOPIC: AT TWILIGHT
This is literally “the space between the two evenings” (BDB 107 and BDB 787, cf. Exod. 16:12; 29:39,41;
30:8; Lev. 23:5; Num. 9:3,5,11,35; 28:4,8). Some say this refers to late afternoon (Talmud), while others say it refers to
the time between sunset and the appearance of the first star (Samaritans). Remember, twilight is the beginning of a new
Jewish day (i.e., Gen. 1:5,8, etc.).
